My name is Rachel van der Meer, I am a Technical Artist and VR Enthusiast.
I have recently graduated Bachelor of Science with honors at the NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences doing the International Game Architecture & Design, visual artist's course.
Over the last few years I have worked on various game projects, virtual reality, animations and mods.
I have taken part in various competitions and challenges and I have lead various teams on animation,
art and game projects at my former university, successfully.
I have advanced skills in 3dsMax, Maya and Unreal Engine 4 and Photoshop,
I am adept at using Zbrush, Substance Designer, xNormal, Houdini and most of the other Adobe creative suite programs.
Currently I've got experience in many disciplines, ranging from animation, procedural systems, texturing and
modeling to photography, art direction, environment art, world building, rendering and lighting. I have a competitive attitude,
looking to improve myself and my work whenever I can. I’m eager to learn and quick to pick up new information.
I don’t shy away from the more technical jobs and enjoy designing and creating environments, vehicles and other objects.
Aside from the CG subjects I am interested in scientific and technical subjects but also art and history.
In my (rare) free time i enjoy hobbies like photography and archery. I also enjoy all kinds of games
ranging from games like “Machinarium” and “Portal” to more competitive games like “Command and Conquer”, ”Unreal” and “Quake”
